  4. I’ve been thru hip …
I’ve been thru hip surgery before, so I didn’t have to much trouble with it, but yes, I had to go. They will teach you how to do stairs the right way (very important! most people do it wrong!) and how to build strength. It’s not really that hard, an hour or so at physio every week at first, then every second.

  12. I had my right hip …
I had my right hip replaced last Jan. at the age of 17. Tell your husband that the procedure is a peice of cake, and that the pain will definatly go away! I lived with hip pain for 7 years after a failed double osteotomy and wouldn’t traid my new hip for the world! And lets face it, delaying your hip replacement for to long may cause new problems in your back, knees and feet. If I can get my hip done at 17, you deserve yours at 33.

  15. @cindypastor I also …
@cindypastor I also had a staph infection. I could not wait another year the pain was getting really bad. Previously I had a hipreplacement so they had to take the old prosthesis out put a spacer in, give me six weeks of IV therapy, then do a total hip replacement. I’m fine now. Typically docs want to kill an infection before they put in a permanent prosthesis. Good luck.

  18. Thank you so much …
Thank you so much for this vid. I am 33 and my hubby is pushing back about having the surg because he has fears. I am trying to get him to understand the constant level of pain and the fact that I don’t want to be on pain meds for another 10 years before I am deemed ‘age appropriate’ for the surg.

    Hi Richierich

No…I dont have polio, it was not caused by polio, but I have injury on my left hipIs joint for the first time, but caused of using the pain killer for long time, my right hip joint was damage with oestophorosis. I had my hips operation for the first time last 2005, where the right hips with Bipolar Hip replacement, and the lefft side implanting. How ever this did not work well, so I have another B hip replacement for my right leg last November.
